Japanese paper incense [Hinoki]

This Japanese paper incense emits fragrance even when it is not lit.

It was created by the high technology of the incense industry on Awaji Island, using the technique of making Japanese paper with fragrance.

The leaves can be hung in a closet, placed in a pouch or bag, or used as a diffuser.

In Japan, there is a long-established culture called “soradaki,” which means to enjoy the scent of fragrance wafting in from nowhere.
People send fragrances to their loved ones by attaching them to letters, or by burning incense to enjoy its fragrance.

Washi incense can be enjoyed even before it is lit.

As time goes by, the fragrance will diminish little by little. When this happens, tear off a leaf, light it, and extinguish the flame.
